'Produce 101 Japan's winning project group JO1 has just revealed a concept trailer for their debut single, 'PROTOSTAR' which will be released on March 4, 2020.
The group was first formed on December 11, 2019, during the final episode of the Japanese version of 'Produce 101'. The members of the group consist of Mamehara Issei, Kawashiri Ren, Kawanishi Takumi, Ohira Shosei, Tsurubo Shion, Shiroiwa Ruki, Sato Keigo, Kimata Syoya, Kono Junki, Kinjo Sukai, and Yonashiro Sho.
The debut single was produced in Korea with members of the group also traveling to Korea back in December, sparking rumor that the group would debut in Korea. However, Mnet has denied the rumors, stating that despite having their debut preparation in Korea, JO1 will focus their activities in Japan.
