Actress Kim Hye Yoon’s upcoming fan meeting in Japan has been cancelled just about a week before the scheduled date, drawing disappointment from fans.
Recently, the event’s Japanese organizer IMX Japan announced through its official social media channels that Kim Hye Yoon’s fan meeting planned for March 16 in Osaka would no longer take place.
The event, titled “2026 KIM HYEYOON FANMEETING – Season of HYEPPINESS – IN JAPAN,” was originally scheduled to be held at Matsushita IMP Hall in Osaka. However, the organizers stated that the event had to be cancelled due to unavoidable circumstances on their side.
The cancellation was announced only about a week before the performance, prompting the organizers to issue an apology to fans who had been waiting for the event. They also provided guidance on the refund process for ticket holders.
Regarding the situation, Kim Hye Yoon’s Korean agency Artist Company has not released a separate official statement. A representative from the agency said that the decision was made after being informed by the local promoter that the event could not proceed.
“The entire event was handled by the local organizer, so we do not know the details,” the agency representative explained. “We were simply notified that the event might need to be cancelled, and since preparations were still underway, we agreed to the cancellation announcement despite the disappointment.”
Kim Hye Yoon previously appeared in several projects including the drama 'Goblin' and films 'The Bacchus Lady' and 'Memoir of a Murderer', often in supporting roles early in her career. She later gained major recognition for her role as Kang Ye Seo in the hit drama 'SKY Castle'.
More recently, she received widespread attention after starring in the 2024 drama 'Lovely Runner', which became a major hit and showcased her strong romantic comedy chemistry. She also led the recently concluded drama 'No Tail to Tell' and is currently preparing for her next project, the upcoming SBS drama 'Good Partner 2'.
