BTOB is set to reunite as a complete six-member lineup.
According to a report by Sports Chosun, BTOB will release a new song on March 21. The upcoming release is expected to be issued as a digital single.
This marks the group’s first new music as a full six-member team in approximately two years and ten months since the release of their 12th mini album 'Wind And Wish' in May 2023.
During the interim, four members, Seo Eunkwang, Lee Minhyuk, Im Hyunsik, and Peniel, released singles together. However, it has been a long time since all six members, including Lee Changsub and Sungjae (Yuk Sung Jae), have participated in a new release.
What makes this comeback particularly meaningful is its timing. The song will be released on March 21, the group’s debut anniversary. BTOB originally debuted on March 21, 2012, making the upcoming release a special celebration of their journey together.
Following the end of their exclusive contracts with Cube Entertainment in November 2023, the members began activities under different agencies. Lee Changsub signed with Fantagio, while Yook Sungjae joined IWill Media. Meanwhile, Seo Eunkwang, Lee Minhyuk, Im Hyunsik, and Peniel established a new home at BTOB Company in February the following year.
Although the members are now managed by different companies, they reportedly decided to reunite for this release out of strong loyalty to the team and deep appreciation for their fans. As a result, the new song is expected to serve as a meaningful gift celebrating both the group and their fans on BTOB’s 14th anniversary.
Since their debut, BTOB has received widespread love for emotional hit songs such as “Missing You,” “Only One for Me,” “Second Confession,” and “Beautiful Pain.” Known for their strong vocal abilities and heartfelt ballads, the group has earned nicknames such as “the group that sings well,” “ballad idols,” and “a group rich in vocal talent.” At the same time, their wit and humor have also made them popular as entertaining personalities on variety shows.
