IU and Byeon Woo Seok showed playful chemistry on social media while promoting their upcoming drama ‘Perfect Crown.’
The new MBC Friday–Saturday drama ‘Perfect Crown’ is set to premiere on April 10 at 9:40 PM KST. Set in a fictional 21st century constitutional monarchy in South Korea, the drama tells the story of a romance that challenges social status.
With the premiere approaching, IU shared the drama’s couple poster on her social media and tagged Byeon Woo Seok. However, the text she added promoting the broadcast date appeared slightly cut off, drawing attention from fans.
Byeon Woo Seok reshared the post, prompting IU to repost it again with the caption “April 10 on MBC.” He then added the broadcast time, “9:40 PM,” continuing the playful back and forth promotion.
Their lighthearted exchange continued as IU reshared his post with the comment “This is fun,” while Byeon Woo Seok responded with “For real.” IU eventually wrapped up the friendly exchange by joking, “I lost.”
In the drama, IU plays Sung Hee Joo, a successful business executive who chooses a contract marriage due to the limitations of her commoner status despite having everything else. Byeon Woo Seok portrays Grand Prince Ian Lee Wan, a royal who has little beyond his title as the second son of the royal family.
‘Perfect Crown,’ which is already drawing attention for the chemistry between IU and Byeon Woo Seok, will premiere on April 10.
