Actress Park Shin Hye delivered a refreshing sense of justice to viewers, completing a drama praised for its clear good-versus-evil message and a satisfying ending.
The tvN drama 'Undercover Miss Hong' (written by Moon Hyun Kyung, directed by Park Sun Ho) aired its final episode on March 8. According to Nielsen Korea, the 16th episode recorded an average nationwide rating of 12.4%.
The series steadily gained momentum in ratings. It began with 3.5% for its first episode, climbed to 10.6% by episode 11, and reached its highest rating of 13.1% in episode 15.
One of the key factors behind the drama’s popularity was Park Shin Hye. She played elite financial supervisor Hong Geum Bo, who goes undercover at a securities firm after suspicious money flows are detected, uncovering corruption from within.

Her chemistry with the “Room 301 roommates” also stood out. The camaraderie between Hong Geum Bo, Go Bok Hee (played by Ha Yoon Kyung), and Kang No Ra (played by Choi Ji Soo) created a strong sense of solidarity and left a lasting emotional impression.
Most of all, the drama delivered a cathartic ending as justice was served to the villains. Kang Pil Beom (played by Lee Deok Hwa), chairman of Hanmin Securities, and Bong Dal Soo (played by Kim Roe Ha) ultimately faced legal punishment.
The finale also hinted at the possibility of Season 2. Hong Geum Bo was shown embarking on another undercover mission, accepting a conditional reinstatement, and beginning an investigation into an insurance fraud case.
Meanwhile, 'Mad Concrete Dreams' will follow Undercover Miss Hong in the same time slot. The new drama premieres on March 14.
