Member DAY6 Wonpil will hold a solo concert in May following the release of his new solo album.
According to the schedule for his first solo mini album 'Unpiltered', Wonpil will release a series of promotional contents ahead of the album launch. The schedule includes a concept film on March 11 KST, a tracklist on March 13, and concept photos from March 16 to 18. Additional content such as the 'Unpiltered Record' teaser on March 19, the 'Unpiltered Record' series from March 20 to 29, and a track manual on March 23 will also be unveiled.
Fans can also look forward to a listening pop up event titled “Unpiltered Layer” from March 27 to 29, along with music video teasers on March 28 and 29, creating anticipation for the upcoming release.
Riding the momentum of the album promotions, Wonpil will hold his solo concert WONPIL SOLO CONCERT ‘Unpiltered’ from May 1 to May 3. The concert marks his first solo performance in about four years and two months, following his previous solo concert 'Pilmography' held in March 2022.
Wonpil also kicked off album teasers with the release of the concept film at midnight on March 11. The video begins with him adjusting a camera while preparing to take photos. After initially trying to maintain a perfect smile, he gradually begins capturing more natural expressions, including thoughtful moments, subtle frowns, and genuine smiles.
The film ends on an emotional note as Wonpil discovers a Polaroid photo featuring a glass box image and confronts a version of himself shedding tears, ultimately releasing the emotions he had been holding back. His delicate acting and the dramatic narrative of the concept film left a strong impression on viewers.
Meanwhile, 'Unpiltered' marks Wonpil’s first solo release in about four years since his 2022 solo album 'Pilmography'. The mini album will officially be released on March 30 at 6 PM (KST) on global music platforms.
