Artist Zelo is beginning a new chapter in his career after joining the newly launched music label VLACKSQUAD.
On March 10 KST, VLACKSQUAD announced through its official social media that Zelo has signed with the label as its first artist, unveiling a new set of profile images.
In the black and white photos, Zelo showcased a dramatic transformation in style, ranging from a sleek geek chic look to a bold homme fatale concept with an exposed upper body. The visuals reflect his identity as a pop artist and heighten anticipation for his upcoming activities under the new label.
Zelo originally debuted in 2012 as a member of the K pop group B.A.P, and has since continued to pursue both group and solo music activities. Known for his powerful rap and performance skills, he is also actively involved in songwriting, composition, and visual direction for his projects.
After completing his mandatory military service in June last year, Zelo is now preparing to begin the next phase of his solo career with VLACKSQUAD. According to the label, he is currently planning a variety of activities, including a fan concert and new music releases.
VLACKSQUAD, which focuses on hip hop, R&B, and pop music, aims to provide an environment where artists can freely express their musical identity. With Zelo as its first signed artist, the label has officially begun its journey in the music industry.
Meanwhile, further details regarding Zelo’s solo fan concert and upcoming releases will be announced later through VLACKSQUAD’s official social media channels.
