BTS and Big Hit Entertainment's donations for the families of the Sewol Ferry victims have come to light.

On January 21, an exclusive report revealed that BTS and Big Hit Entertainment donated a total of 100,000,000 KRW (approximately 85,000 USD) to the 4/16 Sewol Families for Truth and A Safer Society. It's reported that each member donated 10,000,000 KRW and the label contributed 30,000,000 KRW.

Big Hit Entertainment confirmed the reports, and stated, "It's something that we processed secretly as we believed that donations are meant to be done quietly. It was the artists' decision and personal matters, so we don't think it's something to leave comments on."

it's funny and weird ! why so false,BTS street punks, hum? didn't you support Park Geun-hye since the beginning when she became the president of South Korea? so donated some money to the families of Sewol Ferry victims just for what? don't ask me how do i know they supported her then but not now, because BTS boys like that kind of people, you know !

became to the president..

BTS boys look like that kind of people !

Hellotreasure youTaeyeonOMG Sunday, January 22, 2017

They donated money to help the families, not so that the public can admire them. That's why Bighit posted it as anonymous. I don't even know what made you think that BTS supports Park Geun Hye, you're really not making any sense at all. All this because they donated $85,000 to help families smh 😑

You don't know doodly about them and SHAME ON YOU for trolling on an article about Sewol Ferry.

It's so good to know that they donated out of kindness. The members of bts are really good guys, I wish everyone would see that instead of trying to tear them down.

Such role models...People hating on these boys is really beyond what??!!

whatever101 Sunday, January 22, 2017

the fact that each member had 10k USD lying around says A LOT about much $$$$ they must bringing in despite being a non Big 3 when other groups can barely make $10 in 1 month.

YueYuu whatever101 Saturday, January 28, 2017

It doesn't say that much. If they don't spend all their money they earn immediately and save it for a few months it would be still possible that they make less than an average person. I'm just saying. If you don't have a lot of other expanses 10k (and it was less what the donated, right) isn't that much.

I am not surprised. :3 BTS were always doing something for the public to relate to - whether its in their songs or charity. ^_^ K-Armys, please protect them well from the government!! >< These boys deserve so much love! ><

That's a lot of money from EACH member, almost 9000 US dollars! <3 They're so generous, so beautiful inside and outside ❤️  Another reason to love Big Hit and BTS added to the 1234567890987654321 other reasons. And you know they didn't do it to look good to the public or for popularity because they wanted to keep it quiet (but somehow it was leaked lool) They did it out of the kindness of their hearts, these boys~

thestarsinthesky Saturday, January 21, 2017

Damn, they did it quietly because they didnt want the recognition. It was just the right thing to do. How the fuck can you not love and respect them for that.

Moogirl Saturday, January 21, 2017

Awww I love when I see artists I love doing such kindful acts!!! <3

I'm surprised charitable organizations in SK don't do a better job of protecting the identity of anonymous donors.
