Actor Seo In Guk revealed a touching yet humorous story about his younger sister, sharing that he still gives her a generous allowance even after her marriage.
On August 19, the YouTube channel VIVO TV released a video titled 'Close Friends Who Would Never Lend Each Other Money,' featuring Kang Mi-Na, Seo In Guk, and Go Kyu Pil. The three gathered to promote their upcoming Disney+ drama 'Twelve,' with Song Eun Yi as the host.
During the talk, Song Eun Yi asked Seo In Guk about his real-life friendships with the cast. Seo responded, “We don’t contact each other that often, but we always check in from time to time. I think that’s enough to call us close friends.”
When the conversation turned to money, Song Eun Yi playfully asked how much Seo would lend Go Kyu Pil. Seo laughed and replied, “I wouldn’t lend him money.” Go echoed the same answer, bringing laughter as they showed that while close, they keep financial matters separate.
Song Eun Yi then mentioned Seo’s younger sister, who once posted online about receiving money from him. Curious, she asked, “How much did you give her that she praised you so much?” Seo revealed, “The maximum transfer limit on the messenger app is 2 million KRW (approx. $1,500).” When Song reacted with shock, Seo clarified, “It wasn’t just for her. I also included money for my nieces and nephews.”
Meanwhile, Kang Mi Na shared her own approach with her brother, saying, “We don’t really give each other allowances. We just earn and spend on our own. Only on his birthday do I give him cash, and that’s it.” Her frank honesty drew laughter from the group.
