Psy has announced a rematch with comedian Lee Soo Ji.
On August 20, Psy shared a video on social media with the caption “Love Bug Original 1. The Week of the Showdown.” In the clip, Psy and Lee Soo Ji perform his hit song “GENTLEMAN,” even wearing matching outfits. Their uncanny resemblance earned them the nickname “Love Bug Show,” with fans joking that they looked like doppelgängers.
Netizens reacted with excitement, commenting, “Finally this week. I’ve been waiting the most for this,” “They look so alike,” “Hard to believe this isn’t AI,” and “If you lose again, next year’s Summer Swag will be Soo Ji’s, so start eating five meals a day from now on.” Others added, “This is serious—Soo Ji looks even more like Psy than Psy himself.”
Lee Soo Ji first appeared as a guest at Psy’s “Summer Swag” concert, where their playful chemistry went viral. Last month, Psy revealed a conversation they had: “The public says I lost. My 25-year career is at risk. Even Madonna didn’t beat me. I want to gain some weight and request a rematch.” Lee Soo Ji replied, “Then let’s compete to see who gets called PSY more often.”
The highly anticipated rematch will take place on August 24 during the PSY Summer Swag 2025 concert in Gwangju.
