Japanese model Harin, once set to debut as a member of NewJeans, has been confirmed to have signed an official trainee contract with ADOR under the leadership of Min Hee Jin. Despite being only a few months away from her debut, her dream was cut short, a fact now supported by official documents.
For months, some online communities dismissed Harin’s story and accused her of spreading false claims about being part of the NewJeans debut lineup. Critics argued that she had trained solely under Source Music and was never part of ADOR. However, newly revealed documents have confirmed that Harin was officially contracted as a trainee at ADOR.

On the 19th, the YouTube channel Entertainment President Lee Jin Ho released a video titled 'Shocking Exclusive, Trainee Contract Revealed: The Truth Behind Harin’s Exit from the NewJeans Debut Team.' In the video, Lee Jin Ho presented Harin’s trainee contract with ADOR, signed on January 7, 2022. The contract included the signatures of Harin, her parents, and Min Hee Jin, who was serving as CEO of ADOR at the time. Although the agreement was scheduled to last until January 6, 2023, Harin received a notice of termination after only two months.
Born in 2003, Harin began her training journey when she passed a Source Music audition in 2020. She later transferred to ADOR and joined the NewJeans debut team, but she was removed from the lineup shortly before the group’s debut.
In July, Harin appeared on the YouTube channel of Japanese actor Hiromitsu Takeda and spoke about her experience. She revealed that she was abruptly informed of her contract termination and was told to return to Japan immediately.
According to her account, she had already been confirmed as a debut member of NewJeans, but without explanation, the company terminated her contract. Her phone and iPad were taken, her dorm access was blocked, and she was forced to leave Korea in an isolated state.
Following the renewed attention on her story, Harin has since made her YouTube channel private and returned to Japan to recover.
Lee Jin Ho emphasized that the only point Harin wanted to make clear was that she had been a legitimate trainee under ADOR. He added that the criticism directed at her should be reconsidered and that at the very least, she deserves respect.
