Anchorwoman Kim Seo Young took to social media to announce her marriage to her non-celebrity partner after a long-distance relationship of eight years, in which she is situated in Korea while her fiancé the U.S.
Kim Seo Young shares images of an elaborate marriage proposal in Malibu, California, along with a lengthy heartfelt message commemorating the momentous milestone.
The surprise proposal took place at a Malibu beach house, where the couple was “surrounded by blessing videos from friends and family, a photo wall from 2016-2024, live music by [their] dearest band” and flower decoration designed by him.
She continues, “For a whole year, he saved every penny, skipping dinners out, clothes, everything—just to make this moment perfect.” She also thanks her friends who carried instruments up the mountain to perform for this event.
Kim Seo Young details her relationship, where she first met her fiancé in New York and shared good and bad times together in their twenties. She calls him her constant even when she was lost during the pandemic. She expresses high hopes for the future as the lovebirds step into their next chapter, thanking her fiancé for “making [her] the happiest woman in the world.”
