On May 28 KST, Seventeen’s Mingyu and Wonwoo released a digital single ‘Bittersweet (ft. Lee Hi),’ and has captured the hearts of listeners around the world.
Since its release, ‘Bittersweet’ has topped the iTunes Song Chart in nine regions, including Indonesia, the Philippines and Vietnam, as well as top 10 in 25 regions. The single also topped the iTunes K-Pop chart in Indonesia and Malaysia, and ranked top 10 in a total of 14 regions.
‘Bittersweet’ is a melancholic song that contains conflicting feelings of love and bitterness of friendship when subtle emotions intersect at a certain point.
In particular, while Wonwoo and Mingyu are members of the hip hop unit in Seventeen, they have impressed global fans with their vocals skills featured through this single. Their synergy with singer Lee Hi who featured in this single has also been highly praised.
Meanwhile, the group Seventeen will be releasing their 8th mini album ‘Your Choice’ on June 18, 6PM KST.
