On September 14, the teen contestants of KBS2's 'Dancing High' faced their first rankings. Those placing in the top 10 would earn the chance to choose their own mentors, while those ranked 11th and below would be split up into teams by the coaches.
Before showcasing his dance, NCT's Jisung revealed a more personal reason as to why he decided to audition for the program, despite already being an idol singer. He shared, "Something that I've struggled with for a long time... is that I have nothing relatable with the kids at school. That's why I don't have any friends. None. But here, I thought since everyone is a dancer and we share similarities, I might make friends. I also want to improve my skills."
After the contestants' performances, MC Jung Hyung Don revealed the top 10 rankings based on the judges' points, plus the audience's points. The rankings are as follows: (10) Song Chan Yi, (9) Jisung, (8) Lee Gyu Jin, (7) Kim Ye Ri, (6) Song Ye Rim, (5) Kim Tae Gun, (4) Lee Eun Min, (3) Oh Dong Gyo, (2) Kim Min Hyuk, and (1) Park Si Hyun.
