In the past at a Cosmic Girls' fan meeting, a male fan pointed out their resemblance and shouted out, "Hey, Eunseo. Do you know Zlatan?" Other fans started laughing and the members of Cosmic Girls reacted with a question, asking, "Who's that?" The male fan responded, "He's a soccer player."
Ever since then, netizens continuously named Eunseo as the look-alike of Zlatan Ibrahimovi?, which seemed to have been a hurtful comment for Eunseo.
At a recent fan sign event, a male fan once again told Eunseo that she looks like the soccer player. Unable to hide her hurt feelings, Eunseo burst into tears and ultimately stepped out of the fan meeting.
Following the event, the fan officially apologized via DC Inside. He explained that he lacked information about Cosmic Girls because he just recently became their fan and didn't realize that Eunseo hated the comments about her resemblance to Zlatan that much.
He also explained the situation in detail, stating, "I first asked her if she knew the soccer player that she looks like. But then Eunseo's facial expressions got real serious and she asked me why I was asking her that. I knew right then that I have said something that I shouldn't have. So I said nevermind but Eunseo kept asking me who, so I ended up telling her Zlatan."
Lastly, he said, "I did laugh a little but it was because the situation was unbelievable. I was not intending to make fun of her. Anyway, I sincerely apologize for hurting Eunseo's feelings. I wanted to apologize (right away) but I couldn't interrupt the fan sign event. Everyone kept criticizing me so I ran away to avoid the arrows of criticism. I'm sorry."
