Actress Jun Ji Hyun (44) opened up about her realistic concerns.
On August 21, GQ Korea uploaded the video "How Jun Ji Hyun Defines Her Own Value" on its official YouTube channel.
In the video, Jun Ji Hyun began by talking about the upcoming Disney+ original series 'Tempest,' set to be released on September 10, saying, "I’m really looking forward to it."
She continued, "I feel excited and thrilled, but there are actually days when I feel surprisingly indifferent to it. Sometimes I wonder, 'Is it okay to feel this indifferent?' It feels like I’m forcing myself to ignore it. It's because I’m extremely nervous and anxious," sharing her emotions ahead of the release.
When asked about the highlights of filming 'Tempest,' Jun Ji Hyun said, "Honestly, actors don’t get to feel this way in every project. When you’re deeply focused and fully immersed in the character, there are times when you feel connected to the writer or the director on set. When I played the role of Moon Joo in 'Tempest,' I felt that connection with the writer."
Regarding her usual thoughts, she said, "'How will actress Jun Ji Hyun look like as I get older?' I think about this endlessly. At home too, I wonder, 'How will our children grow up, and what will they do?' But ultimately, I focus more on the thought, 'Let’s do well what we can today'."
She was also asked if there had been moments when she felt true to herself, to "Jun Ji Hyun."
In response, she said, "Was there ever a single day that I didn’t live in a way true to Jun Ji Hyun? Thinking about it in reverse, I feel like I’m gradually living more as myself as I age. I also feel that there isn’t a single day I’d want to live not being myself."
Meanwhile, Jun Ji Hyun was born in 1981 and turned 44 this year.
