A clip of a fan event Jessica attended is going around, raising fans' suspicions that perhaps Jessica is being stopped from going on music shows.  She recently returned with a lovely winter track "Wonderland," her second solo release since leaving Girls' Generation but has yet to promote on Korean shows.

During the Q&A session in the event, Jessica reads a question on a post-it and then tries to put it back, looking uncomfortable.  The MC asks her why, wondering aloud if she can't answer the question.  She hurriedly insists that she can.

The question asks, "Don't you want to go on music shows?" and she replies vaguely, "About music shows... um... I do want to go on music shows," with an affirmative nod. She then wondered with a hint of concern, "Would you be able to understand if I say it like that...?"

Fans are jumping to the conclusion that she is suggesting the same thing is happening to her that happened to JYJ when they broke from TVXQ and SM Entertainment - that her former agency has blacklisted her from music shows so she can't make appearances.

Fans wrote, "From what I can understand, that there are some parties who are preventing Jessica to perform on music show. that fact makes me sick and sad at the same time :(," "Sica's answer was very vague, to be honest. But if she does mean that SM is preventing her from going on music shows, then that sucks and it's unfair to her," and more. What do you make of her vague response?

I don't understand, do people dislike her if so what has she done? And why did she leave Girls Generation? Sorry, I'm a newb xD

Mercurion EmBTSLover Monday, December 19, 2016

She was forced out of Girls Generation because she had scheduling conflicts between the group and her fashion brand.

kalniac EmBTSLover Saturday, January 14, 2017

No, it was because the brand is under her name and SM was not going to get money from that... neither any of the members

she needs some attention for her flop album so thats why she is trying to shade SM and people. I dont think SM would do that to her because they didnt have any legal issues between them like JYJ or ex-exo members after her departure from the company.

lmao exactly, if what she said was in anyway wrong she would get her ass sued right away for defamation. nice try

alvinnnugroho okdatn Saturday, December 17, 2016

lmao exactly, if what she said has no truth behind it, SM wouldve easily sued her ass for defamation.

I remember reading an article shortly after they kicked her out. She said that she kept checking with SM to confirm that she was allowed to have her business, and they didn't have a problem with it. There was some insider on Twitter that mentioned that Jessica was supposed to go on hiatus after the Tokyo Dome Tour. "Divine" was supposed to be her send off, and "Catch Me If You Can" was meant to be a gift for the fans while on tour. However, Jessica changed her mind about the hiatus. I'm not sure if the decision was made by SM, or if the other members had a say as well. What we do know, is that she went back to Korea after going to New York (for business), the DAY BEFORE SNSD was supposed to go on their Tokyo Dome Tour, and they told her she was out of the group. She was listed as a solo artist under SM until August of 2015, when she parted ways with SM, and joined Coridel Entertainment, founded by her boyfriend Tyler Kwon. The way things went down seemed really shady.

its hilarious how the low IQ's here interpret this clip of really nothing as Jessica being blackballed from music shows.  wtf is wrong with u idiots?  seriously this place is unbelievable.

shoyst21 smokeee Thursday, December 15, 2016

well the assumption is not completely groundless. Did you forget about the case of JYJ? or why the JYJ law was passed?

alexdhamp shoyst21 Thursday, December 15, 2016

Don't bother. Just ignore.
