Police are investigating G-Dragon and Yang Hyun Suk, the executive producer of YG Entertainment, over allegations of copyright infringement.
According to the police, on August 12, the Mapo Police Station in Seoul launched an investigation after receiving a complaint from composer 'A' in November 2024. The complaint reportedly claimed that YG Entertainment had copied a song produced by 'A' without consent, then made and distributed it as a record, thereby infringing on the composer's copyright.
After receiving the complaint, the police questioned some of the people involved and carried out two search and seizure operations, including one at YG Entertainment's headquarters.
