On the August 12 episode of SBS’s variety show 'Dolsing Fourmen,' guests included singer Kim Jang Hoon, Ailee, comedian Yoon Jung Soo and YouTuber Kim Ji Yoo.
Now four months into marriage, Ailee said, “I’m so happy,” proudly speaking about her newlywed life. Host Kim Jun Ho commented, “I saw your husband at the wedding, and he’s very handsome.”

When asked about her happiest moments, Ailee admitted, “We actually lived together before the wedding.” She explained that after meeting Choi Si Hoon, she told her family in the United States about her intention to marry him.
"My grandmother and aunt told me, ‘Live together first. Try it for a year before getting married,’ so we did,” she said. “We got along well, so we decided to get married. Living together lets you see if you’re truly compatible. If it didn’t work out, we would have just broken up and canceled the wedding reservation.”

Agreeing with the benefits of cohabitation, Yoon Jung Soo, who is engaged, shared that while he does not live with his fiancée, she often visits his home. Ailee replied, “Living together and just visiting are totally different,” advising that cohabitation helps couples understand each other’s lifestyles.

When Ailee leaned on Yoon’s shoulder, he jokingly pushed her away and said, “Don’t teach me about marriage. I’ve only been married for four months myself. Do you think being pretty is enough?”
Ailee confessed she had worried that holding the wedding after living together might lessen the excitement, but found the opposite to be true. “Once we had the ceremony, it really felt like we were married. Living together while dating is different from marriage,” she said.
The singer, who has been filling her social media with affectionate couple photos, also revealed that she and Choi Si Hoon registered their marriage in August last year, months before the wedding, in order to purchase their newlywed home under joint ownership.
