WAKEONE has responded to rumors about ZEROBASEONE extending their group activities.
On August 12th KST, a representative from WAKEONE stated, “Since the beginning of this year, we have been in ongoing discussions with each member’s agency regarding the possibility of extending the group’s promotional period. However, nothing has been decided yet.”
Earlier in the day, one media outlet reported that ZEROBASEONE had “reached a dramatic agreement” to extend their contract and were in the final stages of coordination, with an official announcement expected soon. This report, however, was confirmed to be inaccurate.
ZEROBASEONE is a project group formed through Mnet’s ‘Boys Planet’, debuting on July 10th, 2023. Their original contract spans 2 years and 6 months, with their official disbandment currently set for January 10th, 2026.
Meanwhile, the group is preparing to release their first full-length album ‘Never Say Never’ on September 1st at 6 PM KST. The title track, "ICONIC", delivers a message about becoming iconic in their own right.
