On August 13 KST, Pledis Entertainment announced that SEVENTEEN, serving as UNESCO Youth Goodwill Ambassadors, had donated $250,000 (approximately ₩346 million) to UNESCO in honor of International Youth Day. The funds came from the “JOOPITER presents: sacai x SEVENTEEN” charity auction and will be used to strengthen the Global Youth Grant Scheme, jointly launched by SEVENTEEN and UNESCO.
The collaboration, unveiled in June, brought together SEVENTEEN, Japanese fashion brand sacai, and JOOPITER—the digital commerce platform founded by Pharrell Williams. The limited collection included leather jackets designed with member participation, autographed T-shirts, a special edition of Kasing Lung’s “Labubu” character, and necklaces created in partnership with designer Yoon Ahn.
SEVENTEEN expressed that International Youth Day held special meaning for them, as their music has long captured the diverse moments of youth. They also sent words of encouragement to young people around the world pursuing their dreams.
Since being appointed UNESCO’s first Youth Goodwill Ambassadors in 2023, SEVENTEEN has donated $1 million to support creative and well-being initiatives for young people worldwide, funding 100 youth-led projects. They previously made history as the first K-pop act to speak and perform at UNESCO’s headquarters in Paris during the 13th UNESCO Youth Forum.
The group will kick off their 'SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR [NEW_]' at Incheon Asiad Main Stadium on September 13–14, followed by shows in Hong Kong, five U.S. cities in October, and four major domes in Japan from November to December.
