Kihyun of MONSTA X has unveiled a daring new side of himself, making a bold statement with his latest concept.
On August 18, Kihyun shared behind-the-scenes photos from the music video shoot for the group’s pre-release track “Do What I Want,” part of their upcoming mini album "THE X".

In the photos, he transforms into a goblin-inspired character, complete with horns on his forehead and pointed prosthetic ears. Piercings and striking colored lenses added to the edgy, otherworldly vibe.
What especially caught fans’ attention was his styling: Kihyun wore only a zip-up hoodie over his bare torso. Famous for avoiding revealing outfits, he shocked fans by going shirtless in the music video, showcasing powerful choreography with a bold new image.
Following the pre-release, MONSTA X will officially drop their new mini album "THE X" on September 1. Marking the group’s 10th anniversary, the album reflects their decade-long journey. Its title signifies “the one absolute unknown,” symbolizing both limitless possibilities and the Roman numeral X, celebrating their milestone year.
