BTS have unveiled a teaser for the music video of “2.0,” a track from their fifth full length album 'ARIRANG', drawing attention for its homage to the film 'Oldboy'.
On April 1 KST, BTS released the teaser through the HYBE Labels official YouTube channel. The video is set in a worn down corridor and elevator, where a group of rough looking individuals fills the narrow space. As the elevator doors open on the second floor, BTS members appear in sharp contrast, dressed in clean suits with unexpected props such as newspapers and even a backscratcher.

Headlines printed on the newspaper, including “Brand New 2.0 Launch… Strategy Fully Revamped” and “Hidden Code of 2.0 Discovered,” add a playful layer tied to the track’s title. The teaser ends with RM lowering the newspaper to reveal his face behind sunglasses, heightening intrigue.
The music video pays homage to director Park Chan Wook’s iconic film 'Oldboy', with visual cues and styling reminiscent of the original. Even in the short teaser, the film’s signature atmosphere is clearly felt, raising anticipation for the full release.
“2.0” captures BTS’s current phase as they enter a new chapter following growth and transformation. Built on an unconventional hip hop and trap rhythm, the track features the line “You know how we do,” highlighting the group’s confident and relaxed attitude. The song recently debuted at No. 50 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart dated April 4.
Meanwhile, BTS continue to dominate global charts with their fifth album 'ARIRANG', released last month. Both the album and its title track “SWIM” topped the Billboard 200 and Hot 100 simultaneously, while 13 of the album’s 14 tracks entered the Hot 100, solidifying the group’s global impact.
