
BLACKPINK’s Jisoo is set to receive the Rising Star Award at an international ceremony.
Jisoo will be honored with the Madame Figaro Rising Star Award at the 9th Cannes International Series Festival (Canneseries), which opens on April 23 in Cannes, France.
The Madame Figaro Rising Star Award is an honorary prize presented to stars who have established themselves as significant figures in the industry. Previous recipients include Sydney Sweeney and Marie Colomb.
Canneseries praised Jisoo’s acting career, stating, “Jisoo continues to expand her filmography by balancing both music and acting, taking on a variety of roles.”

They added, “With her strong recognition, commanding screen presence, and artistic growth, she has emerged as a promising talent in both the Korean and global entertainment industries.”
Jisoo debuted in 2016 as a member of BLACKPINK, producing numerous hit songs such as “Playing With Fire” and “DDU-DU DDU-DU,” and rising to become one of the most influential girl groups worldwide.
She has also continued her acting career. In 2021, she took on her first leading role in the drama 'Snowdrop.' She made her big-screen debut in the film 'Dr. Cheon and Lost Talisman.'
More recently, she appeared in the Netflix series 'Boyfriend on Demand' as Seo Mi Rae, portraying a character who seeks true love after experiencing a virtual dating simulation.
