fromis_9 have taken a new step forward with their official debut in Japan.
On April 1 at midnight KST, the group released their Japanese debut EP 'LIKE YOU BETTER (Japanese ver.)' across global streaming platforms, marking the beginning of their activities in the local market.
The album captures fromis_9’s signature bright energy along with the excitement of a fresh start. Through this release, the group aims to establish their distinctive charm and positive presence among Japanese listeners.
The EP includes a total of six tracks, led by the title song 'LIKE YOU BETTER (Japanese ver.)', along with 'Love=Disaster (Japanese ver.)', the original track 'Sky Runner', and instrumental versions of each song.
'LIKE YOU BETTER' and 'Love=Disaster' were previously released as part of the group’s sixth mini album From Our 20’s in Korea. At the time, 'LIKE YOU BETTER' achieved strong chart performance, including a three week run on Melon’s Top 100, No. 1 on Bugs daily chart, and a win on KBS2’s 'Music Bank'.
'Love=Disaster' showcases the group’s powerful high notes and dynamic rock sound, while both tracks have been reintroduced in Japanese, drawing renewed attention from fans.
The new track 'Sky Runner' was created specifically for their Japanese debut, expressing the excitement of embarking on a new chapter with an upbeat and refreshing sound.
Ahead of the release, fromis_9 built anticipation through various promotional content, including a highlight medley and concept photos that showcased both chic and lovely visuals.
The group also met local fans during their encore concert '2025–26 fromis_9 WORLD TOUR NOW TOMORROW' in Tokyo on March 28. With their debut EP now released, fromis_9 are expected to continue expanding their activities in Japan.
