Ryu Yi Seo, wife of Shingwa's Junjin, candidly opened up about their past breakup before marriage.
On March 31, a video titled “Why Junjin ♥ Ryu Yi Seo, the ultimate couple, started preparing for pregnancy at 43” was uploaded to her YouTube channel ‘My Love Ryu Yi Seo.’
In the video, Ryu Yi Seo shared stories about her marriage as well as their relationship before tying the knot.
Reflecting on their breakup, she said, “We broke up because I suggested it, but I kept missing him and thinking about him. I’m usually the type to cut things off cleanly, but I couldn’t stop thinking about him.”
She revealed that the main reason for their separation was Jun Jin’s drinking habits. “I thought it would be difficult to spend my life with someone who drinks until daytime,” she explained.
She added, “It wasn’t just two or three bottles of soju, he would drink up to seven or eight bottles. I even thought he might die early at this rate, and I worried about what I could do for his happiness.”
Despite their breakup, the two eventually found their way back to each other. “I still couldn’t stop thinking about him,” she said, describing their reunion as something that felt like fate.
Ryu Yi Seo also shared that Junjin has significantly reduced his alcohol consumption since their marriage. “Now he only drinks beer or makgeolli,” she said, highlighting his change.
Speaking about their marriage, she expressed strong satisfaction, saying, “I’m 99% satisfied. Even if I were born again, I would marry him again.” She added with a laugh, however, that “he’s slower to apologize now compared to when we were dating,” offering a glimpse into their realistic married life.
