Seventeen’s The8 has made a surprise release of his self-composed song.
On April 1, Pledis Entertainment announced, “The8 has unveiled ‘April Draft’ (四月的漂流) through Soda Music, a music platform under China’s Douyin.”
“April Draft” is a bedroom pop track, notable for its lyrics that liken the journey of love and heartbreak to the month of April. The8 participated in both writing and composing the song, further demonstrating his expanding musical spectrum.
Since his debut, The8 has consistently showcased his creative abilities through various works, including Chinese digital singles such as “Dreams Come True,” “Falling Down,” “Side By Side,” and “Hai Cheng,” spanning a wide range of genres.
In 2024, he released his first Chinese EP, 'Stardust,' where he was credited on all tracks. He also launched “The8 Contemporary Art” project.
The8 is also set to appear at a major music festival in China. On May 2, he will take the stage as a headliner at the Mido Music Festival in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province.
Meanwhile, Seventeen will hold their world tour encore concerts on April 4 and 5 at Incheon Asiad Main Stadium.
