Koyote, often referred to as a “national group” in South Korea, is making a highly anticipated comeback. Their bond has grown even stronger following recent attention surrounding member Shinji’s marriage, and fans can expect to see that unity reflected in their upcoming release.
According to their agency J-G Star on July 11, the group, consisting of Kim Jong Min, Shinji, and Bbaekga, will release their new single “Call Me” on August 6 at 6 PM KST through major online music platforms. The new track signals their return to the summer music scene.
“Call Me” introduces a fresh genre called RE-DM (Retro + EDM), which blends retro sounds with modern electronic elements. The track is produced by Choi Jun Young, the renowned composer behind Koyote’s classic hits such as “Pure Love” and “Broken Heart.” This marks a long-awaited reunion between the composer and the group.
After exploring new musical styles through recent songs like “GO,” “My Hero,” “Soulmate,” and “WISH,” Koyote is returning to their original sound with “Call Me.” The track reflects the group’s unique energy and spirit, promising to be another memorable addition to their discography as the original kings and queen of party music.
Now celebrating their 27th anniversary since debut, Koyote remains South Korea’s longest-running co-ed group and continues to enjoy widespread popularity. In addition to the new single, a nationwide concert tour is scheduled to begin in September, giving fans across the country a chance to see them live in the coming months.
Koyote’s new single “Call Me” will be available on all major streaming platforms starting August 6 at 6 PM KST.
