Jang Na Ra addressed misinformation surrounding the recent death of a former agency staff member, clarifying that she and her current management have no connection to the issue being reported.
On March 10, a representative for Jang Na Ra spoke with Star News and firmly denied the circulating claims. “It is very difficult to comment on this matter, but Jang Na Ra and her current agency have absolutely nothing to do with the issue being mentioned,” the representative said.
The representative further explained that Jang Na Ra had already parted ways with LAELBnc. “Jang Na Ra left LAELBnc and has been promoting independently. She signed an exclusive contract with the company in January last year, but the contract was terminated in August of the same year,” the source stated.
The staff member, identified as Mr. A, also worked at the company during that period and later worked alongside Jang Na Ra after leaving the agency.
However, the representative emphasized that Mr. A’s death has no connection to Jang Na Ra, her current management, or LAELBnc, and is unrelated to the reported investment matters or legal disputes mentioned in some media reports.
The representative also clarified that Mr. A, who had been described in some reports as an “executive,” was in fact an employee of the company. Despite correcting the misinformation, Jang Na Ra’s side expressed deep sorrow over the passing.
“Many incorrect details are being reported, but regardless, he was someone who worked with us like a younger colleague. The most important thing right now is to hold the funeral and send him off properly and respectfully. We are very cautious and sorry to discuss this. At this time, there are no confirmed facts regarding the cause of his death,” the representative said, expressing condolences and concern over speculative reporting about the deceased.
Meanwhile, Jang Na Ra is preparing to return to television later this year with the upcoming SBS drama 'Good Partner 2.'
