On July 11, MyDaily reported that S.Coups and Mingyu will debut as Seventeen’s newest unit.
This marks the fourth official sub-unit following BSS, Jeonghan (Junghan) & Wonwoo, and Hoshi & Woozi.
S.Coups, the overall leader of SEVENTEEN and leader of the hip-hop team, will be joined by fellow hip-hop team member Mingyu. Unlike previous units, which combined members from the vocal and performance teams or vocal and hip-hop teams, this will be the first sub-unit composed solely of hip-hop team members.
SEVENTEEN is known for its unique team concept, consisting of 13 members divided into three units and one team, allowing for various “mix units” with different member combinations. However, this will be the first time S.Coups and Mingyu form a unit exclusively on their own.
Celebrating their 10th anniversary this year, SEVENTEEN announced a “rebirth” and plans for diverse activities. Fans are eagerly anticipating what kind of music and performances this new challenge by S.Coups and Mingyu will bring.
