On March 9 at 6 p.m. (KST), Onew released all tracks from his fifth mini album 'TOUGH LOVE' along with the music video for its title track of the same name through major music streaming platforms.
Marking his return approximately eight months after his second full-length album 'PERCENT,' which was released in July last year, Onew presents a new musical chapter with this latest project. Notably, the singer challenged himself as a composer for the first time, further expanding his artistic territory as a solo artist.
Onew’s fifth mini album 'TOUGH LOVE' showcases his deeper involvement in the creative process. He participated in writing the lyrics for all tracks and is also credited as a composer for both the title track, "TOUGH LOVE," and the B-side track "Lie." Through this hands-on approach, the album captures his distinctive musical identity with greater depth and authenticity.
Rather than focusing on conventional love stories, the album presents a collection of narratives exploring the many different facets of love encountered in everyday life. Structured almost like a novel, the album weaves together these perspectives into a cohesive emotional journey.
