On December 29, New-Ace announced their new group name and official debut date via Twitter. The announcement stated,

Recently, New-Ace made an announcement about the group name change. As a result, we have decided to officially start promoting with the group name N.tic.
N.Tic, short for New Trend Icon, means they will become a new trending icon. Please congratulate the team on their fresh start in becoming a new trending icon.
N.Tic's official debut date has been confirmed for February 26, 2018. N.Tic's first debut single and MV is scheduled to release on this day, so please give great attention.
Following their debut, they will step closer to you guys through promotions on broadcasts. Please encourage N.Tic's new future.
