CL shared her thoughts on 2NE1's disbandment.

In an interview with Ilgan Sports, CL opened up about the YG Entertainment group's disbandment. She said, "It's very unfortunate. It's been more than 10 years since I've known the members. We made many memories and did many things together. I'll miss them. Minzy and each one of us had dreams of our own. I believe that decisions were made with reasons, and even though it's unfortunate, I hope that each of us does well on our own path."

When asked if she cried after hearing the news of disbandment, CL revealed, "It might not make sense, but honestly, it still doesn't feel real. They're people that I've seen every day for a long time, so I still can't feel it."

CL also explained how the decision came about, explaining, "After Minzy left the agency, the boss expressed he wanted us 3 remaining members to release an album. I stopped working on my solo album and prepared [for 2NE1's comeback]. I really wanted to release an album, but changes occurred."

2NE1 officially disbanded in November of 2016, and the group recently released one last track "Goodbye".

2NE1 was a group i never thought would disband anytime soon :/

lilwinster2k aiyugwiyeoweo Sunday, January 22, 2017

There was an article that said that they were, plus YG announced it as well back in 2015. Maybe you were just living under a rock?

aiyugwiyeoweo lilwinster2k Monday, January 23, 2017

Or maybe I'm just not an avid follower of 2ne1? I love their music and performances, but I don't follow all of their activities and announcements. Even if I knew in 2015, I still wouldn't have expected it. 2ne1 is just a group I expected would last very long, like Big Bang or Super Junior. They had that potential.

micahxo_lu lilwinster2k Monday, January 23, 2017

Yah, that was rude.

mind_blown Saturday, January 21, 2017

It took him Minzy to leave to remember that 2ne1 existed. He didnt even give the remaining members a chance, he just threw the towel and than put the blame on Bom. So judging on that alone i have some legitimate concern for Blackpink's future.

_CLeO Saturday, January 21, 2017

"Doesn't seem real". I can still relate to that

kpop_unni Saturday, January 21, 2017

While I did have my legitimate concerns about the future of 2NE1 when CL was actively working on her US debut and especially with Minzy leaving, I felt that 2NE1 had a style and skill that could withstand the long gaps between albums. YG made a mistake and he won't own up to it.

BigBlueagain kpop_unni Sunday, January 22, 2017

Yeah he did. A big one.

Aestas kpop_unni Monday, January 23, 2017

2ne1's fans already had to wait a long time between their releases but every time they released something, the excitement was unparalleled with fans and nonfans alike, incomparable to any other group. I think it was a big mistake too because 2ne1 had extremely dedicated fans... i understand YG wanted to release a perfect song but his perfectionism really killed the group...

LordLiar18 Saturday, January 21, 2017

It was expected... Minzy already left the group and CL has a solo carreer... They hasn't released anything since a long time, well, as long as they still keep contact, there's no problem :)

DA_Bae Saturday, January 21, 2017

I don't understand why people are being so mean towards CL like you have no idea how she felt when the disbandment took place so SHUT UP. Secondly try and be in her place than I'll see how u judge, IDIOTS.

(Joking ; Trolling) BOM, DARA and MINZY plan to 'cover' this song and 'gift' it to CL. Singing "WE'RE ... *NOT* YOUR STEPPING STONE !!!" ... (For CL to the USA Market) ...

krell Saturday, January 21, 2017

(Joking) Support QUALITY Trolling! ... (Honestly) Which is my complaint about the actual persistent AKP TROLLS = So *BAD* at it! ... AKP = TROLLING that BORES! ...

BigBlueagain krell Saturday, January 21, 2017

I found these guys online. I like this version. Something about their goofiness.

Wiki --> In February 2016, Dolenz announced that the Monkees would be releasing a new album, entitled Good Times!, as a celebration of their 50th Anniversary. Good Times!, produced by Adam Schlesinger of Fountains of Wayne, featured contributions by all three surviving members, as well as a posthumous contribution from Jones. [86] The album was released in May 2016 to considerable success, reaching #14 on the Billboard 200[87] and generally favorable reviews. <-- DOLENZ (Drummer) is Age 71. At Age 10, DOLENZ starred in USA TV Show "CIRCUS BOY" in 1956 = 70% of USA households owned TV set (is 98% today).

BigBlueagain krell Saturday, January 21, 2017

50 years? Damn! Are they providing their own walkers or will those be provided at the venues. (Yeah, I know, But 71! DAAAAYUM)

krell BigBlueagain Sunday, January 22, 2017

Yes, I thought that DOLENZ information might get your attention. MICK JAGGER (ROLLING STONES) is Age 73. So, DOLENZ (MONKEES) is apparently 'bringing down' some money for doing shows. (Joking) Plus, at least it is NOT a situation of say (group) HERMAN's HERMITS with NO HERMAN !!! ...

BigBlueagain krell Sunday, January 22, 2017

I see all this classic music on YouTube and such but it's so easy to forget just how old they really are. It's mind boggling.

krell BigBlueagain Sunday, January 22, 2017

(Joking) Consider also the AGES of members of the USA SENATE? ... Or how about the USA SUPREME COURT? ...

BigBlueagain krell Sunday, January 22, 2017

Ok, so pop/rock stars are quite THAT petrified and pickled yet... Ok maybe Keith Richards.

It makes me so mad because CL got so much flack the past year for coming back and forth between Korea and America instead of releasing her American album, when she was really just trying to work on a 2NE1 comeback. It was so clear that CL, Bom, and Dara wanted to return as a group together, as seen by CL, Dara, and YG's interviews. It wouldn't have been the same without Minzy, but I think if what CL has said is any indication, what they truly wanted was to release a final album in dedication to Minzy and Blackjacks. I'm so pissed. YG truly ripped the rug out from under them.

krell anothergalaxy Saturday, January 21, 2017

Well said.
