Akdong Musician (AKMU)’s Suhyun has addressed and dismissed false rumors surrounding her recent weight loss.
On August 19, Suhyun took to social media to clarify, writing, “I didn’t take Wegovy. It’s really unfair.”
She went on to reveal her actual approach to dieting, saying, “I’ve been resisting malatang and tteokbokki, exercising hard, and fighting with myself every day to build healthy habits. It’s very unfair, honestly, teacher.” Suhyun added, “For a sustainable and healthy life, I’m managing myself the right way. That’s all.”
Her statement comes after speculation spread that she may have relied on medical treatment for her weight loss.
Recently, Suhyun’s transformation has drawn public attention, with many fans praising her healthier appearance. When one fan asked, “How much weight have you lost? You know health comes first, right?” Suhyun responded, “Thank you. This is the healthiest I’ve ever been in my life.”
Meanwhile, Suhyun and her brother Chanhyuk successfully held their standing concert series, '2025 AKMU STANDING CONCERT [AKDONGDEUL],' at Myeonghwa Live Hall in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul, from August 8 to 17. The duo is scheduled to continue the series with four additional performances on August 22, 23, and 24.
