Stray Kids appeared on SBS 'Nightline' on August 19th, where members Bang Chan, Changbin, and Felix opened up about their upcoming album 'KARMA,' the creative process behind it, and their aspirations moving forward as global artists.
The group revealed that 'KARMA,' their fourth full-length album set for release on August 22nd, will feature 11 tracks. Leader Bang Chan explained that much of the album was produced while on the road during their record-breaking dominATE world tour.
“Some songs were prepared in advance, but many were created during our tour. We carried our equipment, recorded, and worked from hotel rooms,” Bang Chan shared, highlighting the group’s relentless work ethic.
Changbin introduced the album’s title track, “CEREMONY,” as a powerful celebration of Stray Kids’ achievements alongside their fans.
“The performance will be full of energy. The song reflects our journey with STAY, all that we’ve accomplished together, and we hope people can enjoy it with a festive, celebratory vibe,” he said.
Felix echoed the sentiment with a heartfelt message for fans worldwide.
“I want to say that everyone is a champion. Just like ‘CEREMONY,’ I hope STAYs everywhere can feel true happiness,” he added.
Reflecting on their record-setting 34-city dominATE world tour, Bang Chan emphasized how meaningful it was to connect with fans across continents. One particularly memorable moment was seeing entire families, including young children, in the audience.
“It felt like a festival, with fans of all ages coming to enjoy themselves. Those moments gave us so much strength on stage,” he recalled with a smile.
When asked about their goals moving forward, Bang Chan expressed his desire for the group’s unity to endure above all else.
“KARMA means cause and effect. I believe our choices and actions have shaped who we are today. My ultimate goal is for our members to continue together for a long, long time,” he said.
Felix also admitted that global recognition comes with pressure, but he sees it as rooted in love and support.
“Of course, I felt pressure, but it really comes from the attention and care we’ve received from fans all over the world. For that, we’re deeply grateful,” he reflected.
