Amoeba Culture made an official statement concerning the agency's recent meeting with former Wonder Girls member Yenny.

Though a rep previously stated he didn't know anything about the matter, Amoeba Culture made an official statement on January 28. The label said, "It's true we met with Yenny to discuss her future as a musician, but we didn't discuss anything in detail. We cannot say anything more at this point. As the Wonder Girls, who's spent 10 precious years at JYP Entertainment, are releasing a new single album soon, we hope these reports don't cause any harm."

As previously reported, the Wonder Girls were officially disbanded on January 26. While Yubin and Lim have renewed their contracts with JYPE, Yenny and Sunmi have decided not to re-sign. The group will be releasing a final digital single on February 10.

Im not super surprised by Yenny, leaving. She's always been honest and independent. What I am surprised by is Sunmi leaving. She was pretty well taken care of, she could have continued to have a great solo career. lol where would she go after this?

I've always thought Yenny had more than enough talent and charisma to be a solo artist. I hope she finds an agency that can promote her to her full potential.

Hope Yenny shops around and finds a label that benefits her the most. She is far beyond being an indentured servant and is an established name and talent. No need to rush signing onto another label unless the deal is in her interests.

I'm surprised Sunmi didn't re-sign with JYPE.  As for Yenny, I hope she goes on to make great music, not just sexy, but soul and powerful, inspiring, etc.

I like how considerate they are with JYP, is not like Minzy company that relesed their statement in 2ne1 anniversary. Bood luck to Jenny!!

This is just like how JYPE took down Wonder Girls' poster from their building but gave a very vague, pretty much non-answer as to why. In a few weeks, Amoeba will announce Yenny as a new solo artist.

This is *not* really a "denial" in that AMOEBA CULTURE is stating that they met with YENNY. And so, it is probably NOT illegal for AMOEBA CULTURE to say to YENNY like "WHEN your contract and work with JYPe Agency is DONE COMPLETELY, *then* we MIGHT be interested in talking to you about working with AMOEBA CULTURE as your Agency." With some 'eye winking' going on too. By making this statement, AMOEBA CULTURE 'puts to rest' any 'distraction' from current 'Wonder Girls' ending activities via JYPe Agency. To me, it seems the *correct* thing to do (this statement) for AMOEBA CULTURE.
