Mnet's 'Girls Planet 999' introduces all 99 trainees for the first time in latest 'Prologue' film


Mnet's upcoming new idol survival program 'Girls Planet 999' has revealed the faces of all 99 trainees for the first time ever, ahead of its full premiere this coming August 6 at 8:20 PM KST.

'Girls Planet 999', widely coined the "new" version of 'Produce', will feature 99 talented female trainees from South Korea, Japan, and China, competing to debut in a global K-Pop project girl group.

In the program's latest 'Prologue' film above, viewers can get to know the faces of all 33 Korean trainees, all 33 Japanese trainees, and all 33 Chinese trainees, before their identities are formally revealed.

Here's a list of currently confirmed contestants expected to appear on the program, below.

Surprised to see a BVNDIT member here, hope this doesn't mean anything and that they're just trying to get the name out there; I will definitely be rooting for Yujin, she's an amazing dancer and vocalist, and a pretty good visual to boot.

interesting to see Kim Doah doing this considering she was pretty much a finalist in Produce 48. I think it probably has to do with the fact is that her group's debut did really poor when comparing their views side by side to other groups and I wouldnt be surprised if their label gave up on them considering its been a while since they last promoted
