An elementary school teacher is receiving a lot of attention after telling his students to make Jesus amulets in order to exorcise a ghost lurking in the restroom.

On January 25, the Office of Education based in Kang Won Providence stated, "Punishment has been given to the elementary school teacher for practicing religious beliefs on school property that is not bound by religious preferences."

Furthermore, the first-grade teacher known as 'A' told the students, "If you don't believe in Jesus, a ghost will come and get you from the restroom."  And commanded the students to make Jesus amulets by writing 'The Blood Of Christ' on the trinkets.

To the students who refused to make amulets for themselves, the teacher made them shout out 'The Blood Of Christ' when going to the restroom.

Teacher 'A' commented, "I saw a ghost when I was little.  I resolved the problem by believing in Jesus and wanted to let others know."

Superintendent Min of the education ministry reported, "This is not an issue with religion but with the message he's trying to deliver to the kids."

On January 23, the disciplinary committee also made the decision to reprimand two other teachers similar to 'A', where they received the punishment of 1 month of deducted pay.

I don't know if I want her teaching my kids. She'll have them afraid to go to sleep at night. There's enough of that in entertainment and children's folklore to satisfy that need without adults using it to scare the shit out of them.

Another religious person losing his marbles. When will humanity catch up with the ideals of the Enlightenment that are already over 200 years old? When will people start using their brains for thinking rationally instead of wasting their minds on irrational fairy tales?

Being modern 21 century person doesn't mean you deny the entity which gave you life, believing you are a defendant of a monkey Lucy and that earth and everything else created itself by a chance, what caused the bigbang to happen is what gave life to u and me denying that won't make you smarter or more "modern" than anyone else it's just stupid, just believe in one God the Creator of everything, and not superstitions like what the teacher did

This whack-job was lightyears off what would even be remotely considered appropriate and professional behavior for a teacher. In fact this nutcase shouldn't be anywhere near kids, and in an asylum. Freedom of religion is important, but this doesn't even come close to protected behavior.

BigBlueagain Wednesday, January 25, 2017

That's just wrong. What were these "teachers" thinking?
