BELIFT LAB, the agency of ENHYPEN, issued a firm statement on June 30 through the fan platform Weverse, declaring that it will take all possible legal action to protect the artists from ongoing stalking crimes and malicious online behavior.
The agency stated, “Despite multiple official warnings requesting a halt to the invasion of our artists’ privacy, the situation has not improved. In fact, the severity of the actions has worsened. As a result, the psychological and physical harm inflicted on the artists has reached an extreme level. To protect ENHYPEN, we will respond strongly, including through legal means.”
BELIFT LAB revealed that “a recent case involved individuals illegally entering the artists’ residence and filming them without consent—a serious act of stalking.” Upon discovering the incident, the agency immediately filed a report with the police under charges of unlawful entry and violation of the Act on Punishment of Stalking Crimes, among others. The suspects were arrested on the spot and are currently under investigation. The agency added that it is fully cooperating with law enforcement to ensure that those responsible are properly punished under the law.
Regarding malicious online behavior, the agency said, “We have collected substantial evidence of defamatory posts and comments that damage the honor and personal rights of our artists. This includes excessive insults, mockery, personal attacks, sexual harassment, and the spreading of baseless falsehoods. We have filed official complaints with investigative authorities against all perpetrators involved.”
BELIFT LAB emphasized a zero-tolerance policy, stating, “Regardless of nationality, we will pursue legal responsibility without any leniency or settlement for all illegal actions that infringe on the rights of our artists.” The agency concluded by expressing gratitude to fans: “We sincerely thank ENGENEs for your continued love and support. BELIFT LAB will continue to do everything in our power to protect ENHYPEN’s rights and well-being.”
Meanwhile, ENHYPEN is set to meet their overseas fans as part of their world tour “WALK THE LINE IN JAPAN -SUMMER EDITION-”, with concerts scheduled for July 5–6 at Ajinomoto Stadium in Tokyo and August 2–3 at Yanmar Stadium Nagai in Osaka.
