Actress Park Bo Young recently shared her honest thoughts about being invited to appear on 'SNL Korea' and throw a ceremonial first pitch at a baseball game.
During a wrap-up interview for tvN’s drama 'My Unknown Seoul' on June 26, Park responded to Shin Dong Yup’s recent request for her to join SNL Korea. The invitation was made the day prior at the Blue Dragon Series Awards hand-printing event. While Park had initially said she would “seriously consider it,” she clarified during the interview, “It’s not a promise—I’m just not brave enough yet.”
She added, “That show requires someone who’s ready to fully embrace its spirit. You have to be willing to let everything go, and honestly, I don’t have that kind of confidence yet. I’m still holding onto a lot.”
Park also explained why she has never thrown a first pitch at a baseball game, despite being known as a devoted Hanwha Eagles fan. “It’s kind of the same reason,” she said. “I don’t want to do it half-heartedly. If I do it, I want to do it properly.”
Regarding Hanwha’s recent strong performance in the league, she shared, “Ironically, I’ve distanced myself from baseball lately because it was too painful. Maybe they’re doing well because I stepped back,” she said with a smile.
Though she remains unsure about stepping on the pitcher’s mound, Park confirmed that she still supports the team in her own way.
