First-generation mukbang YouTuber Banzz was defeated in a mixed martial arts bout against comedian Yoon Hyung Bin, a fight that had Banzz’s YouTube channel with 2.05 million subscribers on the line.
On June 29, Banzz posted a brief message on his YouTube community and Instagram Story, saying, “Hello, this is Banzz. I will keep my promise. I’ll upload the final video tomorrow,” signaling that he would be deleting his channel.
The match took place on the 28th at Jangchung Arena in Seoul during the "Goobne Road FC 073" special match, where Banzz faced off against comedian Yoon Hyung Bin in a bout that was arranged at Banzz’s request. The match carried a bold condition that the loser would have to delete their YouTube channel.

Yoon Hyung Bin ended the match with a TKO just 1 minute and 42 seconds into the first round. This match also marked his official retirement from MMA.
After the match, Yoon Hyung Bin said, “I was even more nervous and motivated to prepare harder because Banzz said he was training seriously. I’m glad it ended with a good result,” and added, “This was my retirement match, and I’m very thankful to my coach who supported me like one body and soul. Though I’m putting down my MMA gloves here, I will always cheer others on.”
He then jokingly said, “I thought about it, and deleting the Youtube channel seems a bit much. So from now on, I’ll just start uploading my videos on Banzz’s channel,” hinting at a possible twist regarding the promised channel deletion.
According to a News1 exclusive report on June 30, Yoon Hyung Bin said in a phone interview with the outlet, “My heart feels heavy. We wanted to challenge each other with something serious, but maybe putting one’s livelihood on the line was too much. That’s why I feel really heavy-hearted.”
In the comment section of Banzz’s YouTube community post, viewers shared mixed reactions. They commented, “It’s not truly gone until it’s gone,” “Thank you for your efforts. Please show a mature side by keeping your promise,” “I don’t think he’ll delete it. Yoon Hyung Bin will probably upload a video with Banzz and tell him not to delete the channel, and that’ll be the excuse,” “Supporting you in this tough decision. Even if you start fresh, you’ll do well. Fighting!” and “If you start a new channel, I’ll subscribe!!”
