Former AOA member Dohwa (Chanmi) is getting married today, June 28, to actor Song Eui Hwan. The wedding ceremony is taking place in Seoul in a private setting, attended by close family and friends.
Dohwa first announced the news of her upcoming marriage on June 8 through her social media. “I have something I wanted to share with you personally,” she wrote. “I’ve met someone I want to spend my future with, and we’ve decided to get married this June.” She described her fiancé as “a kind and supportive person who has been by my side through every moment.”
At the time, she only shared a photo showing the groom’s back. However, on June 10, she posted several wedding photos featuring the groom’s face, sparking curiosity about his identity. Although Dohwa didn’t name him then, fans noted the groom closely resembled theater actor Song Eui Hwan.
Speculation was confirmed on June 27, when Dohwa posted another wedding photo and tagged an account belonging to Song Eui Hwan.
Born in 1991, Song Eui Hwan is five years older than Dohwa. He is a theater and film actor known for his roles in 'Almost, Maine,' 'Southern Superhero Showdown,' and 'Encounter.'
Dohwa debuted in 2012 as a member of the girl group AOA, where she performed as the main dancer, lead rapper, and sub-vocalist. In 2023, she announced she had legally changed her name to Dohwa and would continue her entertainment career under that name. She made her acting debut in the 2016 web drama 'What’s With Money?' and has since been actively working as an actress.
