TWS (Shin Yu, Do Hoon, Young Jae, Han Jin, Ji Hoon, Kyung Min) is gaining major traction on short-form platforms with a charming dance challenge that’s melting hearts worldwide.

According to Instagram, the title track “OVERDRIVE” from TWS’s 4th mini album play hard ranked No.7 on the platform’s “Trending Reels Audio” chart as of 11 AM on October 20th (KST). The chart tracks audio clips with rapidly increasing usage over the past three days. TWS was the only boy group to land in the Top 10, proving both rising popularity and global buzz.

The “OVERDRIVE” dance challenge invites fans to express the uncontrollable excitement of being in love — in fun and creative ways. The highlight, often dubbed the “aegyo challenge”, features a cute section choreographed to the word “Umm,” where members shake their shoulders playfully, paired with bashful, love-struck expressions. These gestures, brimming with charm, have become the signature of the challenge.

A growing number of popular stars have joined in, further amplifying attention. Participants include SEVENTEEN’s Hoshi, EXO’s Suho, ENHYPEN’s Jay, BOYNEXTDOOR’s Myung Jae Hyun, &TEAM’s EJ, I-DLE’s Yuqi, ZEROBASEONE’s Kim Gyu Vin, IVE’s Liz and Leeseo, NCT WISH’s Yushi, and even entertainer Jun Hyun Moo.

TWS’s music show performances for “OVERDRIVE” are also gaining praise. The track delivers a refreshing yet powerful energy that captures the passionate spirit of youth. The group also wowed with “Head Shoulders Knees Toes”, a pre-release track featuring intense choreography — further cementing their title as one of the most skilled performance teams of the 5th generation.

Meanwhile, TWS’s 4th mini album play hard sold nearly 640,000 copies in its first week (Oct. 13–19), surpassing the initial sales of their previous release. The album also ranked No.1 on the Circle Chart’s Weekly Retail Album Chart (Oct. 12–18), demonstrating the group’s continued upward momentum.
