The film 'The King’s Warden' (Director Jang Hang Jun) has surpassed 15 million admissions.
According to the Korea Film Council’s integrated box office data, 'The King’s Warden' reached a cumulative audience of 15 million on its 50th day in theaters, March 25.
The film’s popularity shows no signs of slowing. While weekday attendance dipped slightly, weekend audiences remained strong, drawing around 800,000 viewers and sustaining its box office momentum.
Speculation is growing over whether the film will enter the all-time top 2 box office rankings. On March 23, 'The King’s Warden' surpassed the 14.41 million admissions of 'Along With the Gods: The Two Worlds.'

Now, only 'The Admiral: Roaring Currents' (17.61 million) and 'Extreme Job' (16.26 million) remain as milestones. With its emotional impact based on real events, the film is set to make a lasting mark on Korean box office history.
'The King’s Warden' centers on King Danjong, the sixth ruler of the Joseon Dynasty. It tells the story of the exiled king, the village chief who cares for him, and the people of Gwangcheon Village.
Yoo Hae Jin stars as the village chief Eom Hong Do, while Park Ji Hoon plays King Danjong (Yi Hong Wi). Their friendship, transcending social status, has moved audiences across the nation.
