Actor Kim Gun Woo revealed that he gained weight to move away from his intense villain image.
On the March 24 episode of the SBS variety show 'Whenever Possible,' Season 4, actors Yoo Jun Sang and Kim Gun Woo appeared as special guests, joining Yoo Jae Suk and Yoo Yeon Seok on a visit to Changsin-dong, where they delivered small moments of luck to local residents.
During the broadcast, Yoo Jun Sang greeted Yoo Jae Suk in a musical-style tone as soon as they met, showcasing his signature passion and drawing laughter.
Yoo Jae Suk remarked, “The last time I saw Jun Sang on a show was eight years ago on Happy Together,” to which Yoo Jun Sang jokingly replied, “Was I not invited on since then?”
Turning to Kim Gun Woo, Yoo Jae Suk said, “It’s my first time meeting him. Because of his role as Son Myeong Oh in 'The Glory,' people might think otherwise, but in real life, he has a very kind-looking face.”
In response, Kim Gun Woo shared, “I’ve gained about 5kg (11lbs) since then,” while Yoo Yeon Seok added, “That impression from Son Myeong Oh still lingers.” Kim Gun Woo laughed and agreed, saying, “That’s right. People tell me it’s better that I put on a bit of weight.”
