
Actress Jun Ji Hyun is making her long-awaited return to the big screen after approximately 11 years.
She stars in the upcoming film 'Colony,' directed by Yeon Sang Ho, taking on the role of Kwon Se Jeong, a biotechnologist and leader of survivors in a story centered around a zombie outbreak.
Over the years, Jun Ji Hyun has showcased a wide range of roles, from a cheeky thief in 'The Thieves' to the wife of a secret agent in 'Berlin' and a female independence fighter in 'Assassination.'

In this latest role, she plays a character who cannot stand injustice. True to her biotechnologist background, she analyzes the evolution patterns of infected individuals and does everything she can to survive.
Explaining her decision to join 'Colony,' Jun Ji Hyun said, “I’m a fan of director Yeon Sang Ho. Above all, the lean and compelling script really drew me in.”
This marks her first collaboration with Yeon Sang Ho, who praised her performance, saying, “Jun Ji Hyun’s ability to immerse herself in the moment was incredible. She truly is a veteran actress.”
'Colony' is scheduled for a theatrical release in May.
