Singer Kwon Eun Bi, often dubbed the "Waterbomb Goddess," recently shared insights into the income she earned through her growing popularity at the 'Waterbomb festivals.'
In the fifth episode of the YouTube web variety show 'HeoIlbyeong,' released on July 11 by Mdromeda Studio, Kwon appeared as a guest and discussed her viral performances and personal milestones.
After her solo track “Underwater” saw a resurgence in popularity, she was invited to perform at 'Waterbomb' events where her stages received massive attention online. During the show, fellow guest Ha Sungwoon asked her about the income she made through the festival. In response, Kwon jokingly promised, “If my 'Waterbomb' video reaches 300,000 views within a month, I’ll use the money to get you a hair transplant with 3,000 grafts.”
Her video has since exceeded 4 million views, drawing public interest in whether she will keep her light-hearted promise.
Kwon also spoke candidly about her early struggles in the industry. She said, “I was a trainee for a long time. I debuted once, but it didn’t go well, so I trained again for about four years before debuting once more. I felt sorry to my parents because I had to receive an allowance from them for much longer than expected.”
She added that after starting to earn money following the disbandment of IZ*ONE, she was finally able to buy a car for her parents.
Since 2022, Kwon Eun Bi has been performing at 'Waterbomb' and has become a signature figure at the summer music festival. With her rising popularity, she gained attention for purchasing a 2.4 billion KRW (about $1.73 million) standalone house in Songjeong-dong, Seongdong-gu, Seoul, which led many to believe her 'Waterbomb' success directly funded the real estate purchase.
However, Kwon clarified that she used her earnings to support her family first, not to buy the house, stating that buying a car for her parents was her priority.
