Two famous doppelgängers in the Korean entertainment industry, actor Nam Goong Min and NCT's Jaemin finally met face-to-face in a dangerous(?) encounter through 'Self On KODE'!
On this installment of 'Self On KODE', Nam Goong Min revealed that he had come to meet his look-alike at last. Soon, the two stars proceeded to chat via messenger, with Jaemin given the task of guessing who might be on the other side. Throughout their messages, Nam Goong Min was struck by Jaemin's bright personality and aegyo and remarked, "I feel like this is the most I've laughed in a while."
Afterward, when Jaemin discovered that his message partner was Nam Goong Min, he immediately tensed up. He said, "I was being very impolite [to a sunbaenim]. I must have been out of my mind."
How did the two supposed doppelgängers react to finally meeting each other? First, Nam Goong Min observed, "It's surprising. It kind of feels like someone took me and photoshopped me really well," while Jaemin revealed, "For me, it kind of feels like I'm looking at my dad." Although Nam Goong Min was initially shocked to hear Jaemin call him "dad", he admitted that he was old enough to be the idol's dad once he found out that they were 22-years apart.
It was Jaemin who felt that he could see more of himself in Nam Goong Min. The NCT member explained, "It does feel like I'm looking at myself a little. I see my eyes when I look into your eyes. And the way you smile. The overall impression."
Next, it was mentioned that many people wished to see Nam Goong Min and Jaemin appear in the same drama. Hearing this, Nam Goong Min stated, "I actually happened to come across a script that might make it happen. If I actually decide to do that project, I might send over an offer to your company." While Jaemin reacted in shock, Nam Goong Min went on, "It's a project where you would play the younger version of me. The young me in high school. The high school story is actually pretty lengthy in the script."
Meanwhile, many viewers were once again struck by the similarities between the two stars, commenting, "Nam Goong Min isn't Jaemin's dad. He's literally Jaemin 22-years in the future", "It feels like there was an accident in the universe and the same person was born in the same dimension 22-years apart", "It's not just the face.
