TVING original series 'Yumi’s Cells' season 3 is set to return, drawing intense attention even before its premiere. Coming back nearly four years after season 2, which aired in 2022, the newly released main trailer is already generating strong reactions from viewers.
Ahead of its April 13 premiere, the drama unveiled its main trailer on March 25, teasing major changes in the relationship between Yumi (played by Kim Go Eun) and Soon Rok (played by Kim Jae Won).
'Yumi’s Cells 3' follows Yumi, now a successful star writer, whose once calm and uneventful life is shaken by the sudden arrival of an unexpected person. The story once again captures the emotional ups and downs of love through her “cell-stimulating” romance. Based on the hit webtoon of the same name, the series first premiered in 2021, followed by season 2 in 2022, and now returns with a new installment after four years.
This season is especially drawing attention as Kim Go Eun reprises her role as the definitive Yumi, joined by rising actor Kim Jae Won as the new male lead, Soon Rok. Director Lee Sang Yeob and writers Song Jae Jung and Kim Kyung Ran, who worked on the previous seasons, have reunited for the project.
The newly released trailer highlights the dynamic and often unpredictable chemistry between the two characters. Despite his polished appearance, PD Soon Rok frequently triggers Yumi’s frustration with his offbeat reactions, immediately capturing viewers’ attention. His arrival begins to disrupt Yumi’s daily life in unexpected ways.
