Block B's U-Kwon parts ways with KQ Entertainment

Block B's U-Kwon has parted ways with KQ Entertainment after 11 years.

On August 12, U-Kwon joined Haha in a live Twitch stream where they played League of Legends and communicated with fans. During the live broadcast, U-Kwon also shared that he left KQ entertainment and is currently working independently before deciding on an entertainment company to join.

U-Kwon is scheduled to join HallyUConn Summer Edition in January next year.

I'm not that surprised. KQ/Seven Seasons wasn't ever that great at promoting the boys and getting them individual opportunities. They weren't terrible (they were better than Stardom), but there were a lot of things they could have done better. The members themselves used to do a better job of promoting Block B and their activities than the company did. It was only after Ateez came along that the promotions got a bit better, but by then Block B as a group was already on hiatus.
